Mixture Control Solenoid Valve (MCSV)

  1. Remove duty check connector cap and short the terminals with a lead wire. See Fig 1 . Turn ignition on and off repeatedly without starting engine.
  2. Using finger, touch carburetor body near MCSV and make sure solenoid pulses can be felt. Pulses from MCSV indicate proper operation. If there are no pulses, replace MCSV.
