Symptom Definition

Engine continues to run after ignition is turned off but runs very rough. If engine runs smoothly, check ignition switch.

Possible Cause & Correction Check the following:

• Check for binding throttle linkage.
• Check for leaking injectors.
• Check IAC system. See DIAGNOSTIC AIDS in CODE 35 chart in appropriate TESTS W/CODES article.
• Check engine for overheating.
