Power Window Regulator & Motor: Installation

  1. Install motor to regulator. Lubricate the motor drive gear and the regulator sector teeth. Check the mesh of the motor to the regulator before installing the rivets.
  2. Install rivets to motor and regulator.
  3. Install regulator to the door. Place the regulator into the door through the door access hole. Place the regulator arm roller into the sash and regulator rail. Push the regulator through the regulator door opening, and align the holes in the regulator with the hole in the door.
  4. Install fasteners. Use a 6 mm (1/4-inch) diameter bolt, 13 mm (1/2-inch) long, with a nylon inserted nut to reattach the regulator to the door.
  5. Install wire harness from regulator to motor.
  6. Install trim panel. See DOOR TRIM PANEL  .
  7. Connect battery ground cable.
