Code A054, Rear Axle Channel In Release Too Long: Notes

This code is designed to detect a motor that is energized too long. This could occur if wheel speed sensor is defective, motor does not turn or motor wires are crossed.

1. Determines if a problem exists in wheel speed sensor that may cause system to be in release too long.
2. Checks for a wheel speed sensor that may stick or bind due to mechanical fault.
3. Determines if motor is capable of moving and applying rear wheel hydraulic piston.
4. Ensures motor wiring is not crossed.
5. Releases motor pack tension before removal.
6. Determines if no-brake application fault is due to motor pack or hydraulic modulator.
