Code A095, Brake Switch Circuit Open: Notes
This code is used to identify open brake switch circuit preventing brake switch input to EBCM from changing when brakes are applied. This code is used in conjunction with Codes A091 and A092 to determine cause of open brake switch fault.
NOTE:
Test numbers refer to numbers on diagnostic chart.
- Confirms open circuit currently exists.
- Determines if brake switch signal is being received by EBCM.
- Isolates open circuit to either brake switch or brake light circuit.
- Isolates open circuit to either brake switch input circuit or EBCM.
