Entering Diagnostics
- Remove BCM PRGRM (10-amp) fuse from instrument panel fuse block. Turn ignition switch to ACC position. Seat belt indicator and chime will activate 2-4 times to indicate which type of BCM is used in vehicle. Ensure installed BCM is compatible with features available on vehicle. Replace BCM if necessary.
- At this time, vehicle is now in feature customization mode. Turn ignition switch to LOCK, then to ACC position within one second. Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) may flash and chime simultaneously from 1-8 times. See BCM DTC DEFINITION . If more than one DTC exists, codes will be flashed in sequence with a 2-second pause between codes. DTCs will repeat 3 times.
- DTCs will be stored for 10 years unless they are erased. Record any existing DTCs, then press and hold any door unlock switch for 4 seconds to erase DTCs. Exit diagnostics. See EXITING DIAGNOSTICS .
- Operate function(s) that set DTC. Re-enter diagnostics, and check if any DTCs exist. If any DTCs exist, perform appropriate test under DIAGNOSIS & REPAIR .
- If diagnostics cannot be accessed, try entering diagnostics again. If diagnostics still cannot be entered, see CANNOT ENTER DIAGNOSTICS under DIAGNOSIS & REPAIR .
