Right Front Window Inoperative

  1. If right front window operates from master window switch, go to next step. If right front window does not operate from left front master window switch, go to step 5).
  2. Disconnect right front power window switch. Turn ignition to RUN position. Connect test light between ground and right front window switch harness connector Yellow wire terminal (Dark Blue wire terminal on 4 door models). If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 4).
  3. Replace right front window switch. Recheck system operation.
  4. Repair poor connection or open in Yellow wire between right front window switch and splice S310 (2 door) or open in Dark Blue wire between right front window switch and splice S307 (4 door). Recheck system operation.
  5. Disconnect right front window switch. Turn ignition to RUN position. Using test light, backprobe between right front window switch Light Blue wire and Tan wire terminals. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 7).
  6. Replace master window switch. Recheck system operation.
  7. Leave test light in same position as step 5). While observing test light, on master window switch, press switch for right front window to UP and DOWN position. If test light illuminates in both positions, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate in both positions, go to step 9).
  8. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Reconnect right front window switch. Disconnect right front window regulator motor connector. Turn ignition to RUN position. Using test light, backprobe right front window regulator motor harness Brown and Dark Blue wire terminals. If test light illuminates, go to step 3). If test light does not illuminate, go to step 11).
  9. Check for poor connection or open in Light Blue wire between master window switch and right front window switch. Repair as necessary. If Light Blue wire is okay, go to next step.
  10. Check for poor connection or open in Tan wire between master window switch and right front window switch. Repair as necessary. If Tan wire is okay, go to step 6).
  11. Leave test light in same position as step 8). While observing test light, press right front window switch on master window switch to UP and DOWN positions. If test light illuminates in both positions, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 13).
  12. Replace right front window regulator motor. Recheck system operation.
  13. Check for poor connection or open in Dark Blue wire between right front window switch and right front window regulator motor. Repair as necessary. If Dark Blue wire is okay, go to next step.
  14. Check for poor connection or open in Brown wire between right front window switch and right front window regulator motor. Repair as necessary. If Brown wire is okay, go to step 3).
