Main Relay

  1. Main relay is located in engine compartment fuse/relay box. Remove main relay from fuse/relay box. Using an ohmmeter, ensure continuity exists between terminal No. 1 (White/Red wire) and terminal No. 2 (Blue/Black wire) of main relay.
  2. Apply battery voltage to terminal No. 1 (White/Red wire), and ground terminal No. 2 (Blue/Black wire). Continuity should exist between terminal No. 3 (White/Blue wire) and terminal No. 4 (White/Red wire) of main relay. Replace main relay if continuity is not as specified.
NOTE: Early Fuel Evaporation (EFE) heater may also be referred to as Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) heater.
