Diagnostic Aids

Check for sticking throttle plate. Check for carbon build-up on throttle plate and throttle bore. Check TP sensor. See SYSTEM/COMPONENT TESTS article. Check for poor connection at PCM. Check for misrouted MAF sensor wiring harness. Ensure harness is not close to high-voltage components.
