Fuel Pump Balance Module: Installation

  1. Remove caps from the fuel pipes.
  2. Install new pipe O-rings.
  3. Position the new pump in the pump bracket.
  4. Connect fuel feed pipe and suction pipe to the fuel pump. Use a backup wrench to prevent the pump from turning. Tighten the fittings to 22 ft. lbs. (30 N.m).
  5. Connect electrical connector.
  6. Lower vehicle.
  7. Tighten fuel filler cap.
  8. Connect negative battery cable.
  9. Turn ON ignition for 2 seconds. Turn OFF ignition for 10 seconds. Turn ON ignition. Inspect for fuel leaks.
