Test E: Abs Indicator Inoperative
- Perform DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING. After performing diagnostic system check, go to next step.
- Using scan tool, in INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER SPECIAL FUNCTIONS attempt to turn ABS light on. If ABS light turned on, go to next step. If ABS light did not turn on, go to step 4 .
- Replace EBTCM. See ELECTRONIC BRAKE/TRACTION CONTROL MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs, perform DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Check ABS indicator light. See appropriate ANALOG INSTRUMENT PANELS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. If ABS indicator light is okay, go to step 6 . If ABS indicator light is not okay, go to next step.
- Replace ABS Indicator light. See appropriate ANALOG INSTRUMENT PANELS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. After repairs, perform DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING.
- Replace Instrument Panel Cluster. See appropriate ANALOG INSTRUMENT PANELS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. After repairs, perform DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING.
