Charge Indicator Light Inoperative

  1. Perform charging system check. See CHARGING SYSTEM TEST  . Go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Turn ignition on, engine off. If battery charge indicator light did not illuminate during bulb check, go to next step. If battery charge indicator light illuminated during bulb check, system is good.
  3. Replace instrument cluster. See appropriate INSTRUMENT PANELS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
