DTC B1508: High Power Control Circuit High: Description

BCM controls load management feature. Load management feature can turn off rear defogger and heated seats when vehicle is in a condition where electrical load may discharge the battery. When BCM detects low system voltage, BCM will remove power from load management control circuit. Rear window defogger and heated seats will not operate until BCM restores power to load management control circuit. DTC B1508 will set when BCM detects a short to power in load management control circuit for more than 0.3 seconds. DTC B1508 will be stored in memory. DTC B1508 will clear when fault is no longer detected by the BCM. A history DTC will clear after 100 consecutive ignition cycles if condition causing malfunction no longer exists. A scan tool can be used to clear DTC.
