Lighting Systems Diagnostic System Check

- Retrieve and display DTCs by entering Body Control Module (BCM) using SECURITY indicator diagnostic mode. See RETRIEVING BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES . If diagnostic mode is entered and DTCs are retrieved, go to next step. If diagnostic mode cannot be entered, perform TEST C: CANNOT ENTER BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTICS under SYSTEM TESTS.
- If both DTCs 12 and 55 are retrieved, go to next step. If either DTCs 12 and 55 are not retrieved, perform TEST C: CANNOT ENTER BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTICS under SYSTEM TESTS.
- If DTCs 21/31 or DTCs 22/32 are not retrieved, go to next step. If DTCs 21/31 or DTCs 22/32 are retrieved, perform appropriate test in accordance with DTC retrieved. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS .
- If any other DTCs are retrieved, perform appropriate test in accordance with DTC retrieved. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS . If other DTCs are not retrieved, repair courtesy lights as necessary. See ILLUMINATION/INTERIOR LIGHTS article.
