Remote Keyless Entry Transmitter

Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter is a hand-held device with 3 buttons. Buttons command functions of system. RKE transmitter sends a radio signal to receiver, which helps carry out functions of RKE system. Range of transmitter is about 3.2-33 ft (1-10 m). Range may decrease at times. This is normal for any remote control lock system.

Complete the following steps if RKE transmitter does not operate, or if standing closer to vehicle is required to operate transmitter:

• Determine if battery requires replacement.
• Determine if distance is too far from vehicle. Stand closer during rainy or snowy weather.
• Determine if other vehicles or objects are blocking signal. Take a few steps to left or right.
