Illuminated Entry

If UNLOCK button on Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) is pressed on transmitter one time, driver's side door unlocks and interior courtesy lights illuminate for 36-44 seconds. Courtesy lights turn off if ignition switch is turned to RUN position within 36-44 seconds. When courtesy lights are at end of 36-44 second time frame, headlight switch activates sustained interior lighting feature, and keeps courtesy lights illuminated for another 16 seconds, then gradually dims off courtesy lights. Sustained interior lighting is cancelled when ignition switch is turned to RUN or START position.

If UNLOCK button on RKE transmitter is pressed a second time within five seconds of first time, all doors will unlock and interior courtesy lights illuminate for 36-44 seconds. Courtesy lights will turn off if ignition switch is turned to RUN position within 36-44 second time frame. When courtesy lights are at end of 36-44 second time frame, headlight switch activates sustained interior lighting feature, and keeps courtesy lights on for another 16 seconds, then gradually dims off courtesy lights. Sustained interior lighting is cancelled when ignition switch is turned to RUN or START position.

When LOCK button on RKE transmitter is pressed, all doors lock and courtesy lights illuminate for 2 seconds. Courtesy lights turn off if ignition switch is turned within 2 second time frame.

When rear compartment release button on RKE transmitter is pressed, courtesy lights illuminate for 36-44 seconds. Courtesy lights turn off if ignition switch is turned to RUN position within 36-44 seconds. When courtesy lights are at end of 36-44 second time frame, headlight switch activates sustained interior lighting feature, and keeps courtesy lights on for an additional 16 seconds, then gradually dims off courtesy lights. Sustained interior lighting is cancelled when ignition switch is turned to RUN or START position.
