Unlock Function
Unlock function is separated into 2 operations. Operation depends on how UNLOCK button is pressed on Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter. When UNLOCK button is pressed once, driver's side door is unlocked. When UNLOCK button is pressed again within 5 seconds, all doors are unlocked. Unlock function sequence occurs when UNLOCK button is pressed once on RKE transmitter. RCDLR receives a signal with a valid Vehicle Access Code (VAC). RCDLR will supply voltage to driver's side door lock actuator through RCDLR harness connector terminal "A" (Tan wire). Activator is grounded through contacts of door lock relay. Driver's side door lock actuator activates to unlock driver's side door. The following actions will occur when UNLOCK button on transmitter is pressed twice:
- RCDLR activates door unlock output at terminal "B" (White wire).
- RCDLR supplies voltage to coil of unlock relay in door lock relay.
- Unlock relay is energized and unlock relay closes its contacts.
- Voltage is supplied to all door lock actuators except for driver's side door.
- Actuators are grounded through ground contacts of door lock relay.
- Actuators are activated to unlock doors.
