Transmitter Programming

NOTE: The following procedure must be performed when replacing Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR), adding a second (up to a total of 4) Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter, replacing a RKE transmitter or if RKE programming connector (Black/White wire) is grounded.
  1. Open trunk lid. Remove right-side rear compartment trim. Using jumper wire with alligator clips, ground transmitter program wire terminal. Door locks will lock and unlock, indicating receiver is in program mode. See Fig 1 .
  2. Depress and hold LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds. Door locks will lock and unlock. First transmitter is now programmed. Repeat this step using other transmitters (up to 4 transmitters). If only one transmitter is being used, disconnect jumper wire.
