Test A: All Power Windows Inoperative
- Check PWR WINDOWS circuit breaker "C" for an open. PWR WINDOWS circuit breaker "C" is located in instrument panel fuse block. See Fig 1
. If circuit breaker is okay, go to next step. If circuit breaker is not okay, go to step 8
.
- Disconnect power window master switch 6-pin harness connector C1. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using test light connected to ground, probe power window master switch harness connector C1 terminal "C" (Yellow wire). See Fig 2
. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 7
.
- Disconnect left rear power window switch 5-pin harness connector. Using test light connected to ground, probe left rear power window switch harness connector terminal "D" (Dark Blue wire). See Fig 2
. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 5
.
- Using test light connected to battery voltage, probe power window master switch harness connector terminal "A" (Black wire). See Fig 2
. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 6
.
- Replace power window master switch. After repair, perform power window system check. See POWER WINDOW SYSTEM CHECK
under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
- Repair open in Black wire between power window master switch and ground. Ground point is located at left front door sill. After repair, perform power window system check. See POWER WINDOW SYSTEM CHECK
under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
- Repair open in Yellow wire between instrument panel fuse block and power window master switch. After repair, perform power window system check. See POWER WINDOW SYSTEM CHECK
under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
- Repair short to ground in Yellow wire between instrument panel fuse block and power window master switch. After repair, perform power window system check. See POWER WINDOW SYSTEM CHECK
under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
