Diagnostic Procedure
- If diagnostic system check was performed, go to next step. If diagnostic system check was not performed, see DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK .
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect RCDLR. Connect a DVOM between RCDLR connector terminal No. 2 (Light Green wire) and ground. If voltage is not 4-5 volts, go to next step. If voltage is 4-5 volts, go to step 6 .
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect RCDLR. Connect a test light between terminal No. 2 (Light Green wire) and ground. Turn ignition on, engine off. If test light is off, go to next step. If test light is on, go to step 5 .
- Check Light Green wire between RCDLR connector terminal No. 2 and BCM for short ground, open or high resistance. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If problem was found, repair as necessary, and go to step 8 . If problem was not found, go to step 7 .
- Check Light Green wire between RCDLR connector terminal No. 2 and BCM for short to power. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If problem was found, repair as necessary, and go to step 8 . If problem was not found, go to step 7 .
- Check RCDLR connector for poor connections. If connector is okay, replace RCDLR. See REMOTE CONTROL DOOR LOCK RECEIVER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Reprogram transmitters. See TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING under PROGRAMMING. Go to step 8 .
- Check BCM connectors for poor connections. If connectors are okay, replace BCM. See appropriate BODY CONTROL MODULES article. Go to next step.
- Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Operate system to verify repair.
