Test 1: All Windows Inoperative

  1. Disconnect master window switch assembly connector C2. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Connect a test light between ground and master window switch assembly and connector C2 terminal "C" (Brown wire). See Fig 1 . If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step  3 .
  2. Connect a test light between master window switch assembly connector C2 terminals "A" (Black wire) and "C" (Brown wire). If test light illuminates, go to step  4 . If test light does not illuminate, go to step  5 .
  3. Using a test light connected to ground, backprobe at right instrument panel wiring harness junction block connector C3 terminal A8 (Brown wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If test light illuminates, go to step  6 . If test light does not illuminate, go to step  7 .
  4. Replace master window switch assembly. See WINDOW & DOOR LOCK SWITCHES  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.
  5. Repair open in Black wire between master window switch assembly connector C2 terminal "A" and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Recheck system operation.
  6. Repair open in Brown wire between right instrument panel wiring harness junction block connector C3 terminal A8 and master window switch assembly connector C2 terminal "C". See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Recheck system operation.
  7. Replace right instrument panel wiring harness junction block. Recheck system operation.
