Test 1: All Windows Inoperative
- Disconnect master window switch assembly connector C2. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Connect a test light between ground and master window switch assembly and connector C2 terminal "C" (Brown wire). See Fig 1
. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 3
.
- Connect a test light between master window switch assembly connector C2 terminals "A" (Black wire) and "C" (Brown wire). If test light illuminates, go to step 4
. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 5
.
- Using a test light connected to ground, backprobe at right instrument panel wiring harness junction block connector C3 terminal A8 (Brown wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS
. If test light illuminates, go to step 6
. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 7
.
- Replace master window switch assembly. See WINDOW & DOOR LOCK SWITCHES
under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.
- Repair open in Black wire between master window switch assembly connector C2 terminal "A" and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS
. Recheck system operation.
- Repair open in Brown wire between right instrument panel wiring harness junction block connector C3 terminal A8 and master window switch assembly connector C2 terminal "C". See WIRING DIAGRAMS
. Recheck system operation.
- Replace right instrument panel wiring harness junction block. Recheck system operation.
