DTC B2600: DRL Error: Testing
- If Body Control Module (BCM) diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If Body Control Module (BCM) diagnostic system check has not been performed, go to BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SYSTEM TESTS.
- Check HTR A/C IGN (10-amp) fuse, located in underhood junction block. If fuse is okay, go to next step. If fuse is blown, go to step 8 .
- Check RH HDLMP (15-amp) fuse and LH HDLMP (15-amp) fuse, located in underhood junction block. If fuse is okay, go to next step. If fuse is blown, go to step 10 .
- Connect scan tool to data link connector, located under left side of instrument panel. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, command DRL relay ON and OFF. If relay does not turn on and off (click), go to step 5 . If relay turns on and off (clicks), go to step 12 .
- Turn ignition on. Remove DRL relay, located in underhood junction block. Turn ignition on. Using a test light, probe DRL relay cavity terminal No. 85. Using scan tool, command DRL relay ON and OFF. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 17 .
- Connect test light between DRL relay cavity terminals No. 85 and No. 86. Using scan tool, command DRL relay ON and OFF. If test light does not turn on and off, go to next step. If test light turns on and off, go to step 18 .
- Check for open on Light Green/Black wire between underhood junction block connector C3 terminal B12 and BCM connector C1 terminal B5. See Figure . If no problem is found, go to step 15 . If open exists, repair as necessary. After repair, go to step 20 .
- Check for short to ground on DRL relay power feed circuit. See POWER DISTRIBUTION article in WIRING DIAGRAMS. If no problem is found, go to next step. If short to ground exists, repair as necessary. After repair, go to step 20 .
- Replace HTR A/C IGN (10-amp) fuse, located in underhood junction block. Recheck system.
- Check for short to ground on Orange wires between headlights and underhood junction block connector C2 terminals A4, C4, E8 and F8. See HEADLIGHT SYSTEMS & DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS article in WIRING DIAGRAMS. If no problem is found, go to next step. If short to ground exists, repair as necessary. After repair, go to step 20 .
- Replace faulty RH HDLMP (15-amp) fuse and/or LH HDLMP (15-amp) fuse, located in underhood junction block. Recheck system.
- Check for open on Gray wire between underhood junction block connector C2 terminal D11 and DRL resistor, located on front of impact bar. Check for open on Black wire between DRL resistor and ground, located on left front of engine compartment. If no problem is found, go to next step. If open exists, repair as necessary. After repair, go to step 20 .
- Check for open on Orange wires between headlights and underhood junction block connector C2 terminals A4, C4, E8 and F8. See HEADLIGHT SYSTEMS & DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS article in WIRING DIAGRAMS. If no problem is found, go to next step. If open exists, repair as necessary. After repair, go to step 20 .
- Check for open on Dark Blue wire between right low beam headlight and underhood junction block connector C2 terminal E12. Check for open on Dark Blue wire between left low beam headlight and underhood junction block connector C2 terminal F12. If no problem is found, go to next step. If open exists, repair as necessary. After repair, go to step 20 .
- Check BCM and harness connector terminals for damage and poor connections. If no problem is found, go to next step. If connections are poor, repair as necessary. After repair, go to step 20 .
- Replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Program BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) under PROGRAMMING. After repair, go to step 20 .
- Repair open in DRL relay feed circuit. See POWER DISTRIBUTION article in WIRING DIAGRAMS. After repair, go to step 20 .
- Check DLC relay and cavity terminals for damage and poor connections. If no problem is found, go to next step. If problem is found, repair as necessary. After repair, go to step 20 .
- Replace DRL relay, located in underhood junction block. Go to next step.
- Reconnect all disconnected components and connectors. Clear DTCs. Perform BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SYSTEM TESTS.
