Transmitter Programming

Vehicle can be programmed for up to 4 transmitters. If the number of transmitters programmed exceeds 4, previously programmed transmitters will be erased, starting with the first transmitter.

There are 3 modes within remote control door lock receiver:

  1. To enter programming modes, set following conditions:
    • Ignition off and key out of lock cylinder.
    • All doors closed except driver door.
    • All doors unlocked.
  2. Insert ignition key into key cylinder momentarily and remove it.
  3. Using switch in driver door, move switch from LOCK to UNLOCK 5 times at approximately one second intervals within 40 seconds.
  4. Close drivers door, and then open it.
  5. Again, move switch from LOCK to UNLOCK 5 times at approximately one second intervals within 40 seconds.
  6. Insert ignition key into lock cylinder.
  7. Turn ignition switch from ON to LOCK at approximately one second interval for 1-3 times according to desired mode.
    • 1 time for add mode.
    • 2 times for rewrite mode.
    • 3 times for confirmation mode.
  8. Remove ignition key from key cylinder.
    • If add or rewrite mode has been selected, doors will lock, then unlock once or twice at 1 second intervals, once for add mode or twice for rewrite mode.
    • If confirmation mode is selected, doors will lock, then unlock 0-4 times at 2 second intervals to inform technician or number of transmitters programmed.
  9. Press a transmitter button for 2 seconds. Doors will lock, then unlock once at a one second interval to inform technician that signal has been received from transmitter.
  10. Close driver door, then open it.
  11. Press a transmitter button for 2 seconds. Doors will lock, then unlock once at a one second interval to inform technician that signal has been received from transmitter.
    • If doors lock, then unlock once, transmitter programming has been completed. Go to step  9 to continue programming for additional transmitters.
    • If doors lock, then unlock twice, transmitter programming is not complete. Go to step  9 to begin transmitter programming again.
