Rectifier Test

  1. Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between positive terminal and each rectifier terminal. Perform STEP 1. See Fig 1 . Check resistance in both directions by reversing ohmmeter leads. Resistance should be more than 5 ohms in one direction and less than 5 ohms in the other direction. If resistance is not as specified, replace rectifier.
  2. Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between each rectifier terminal and negative rectifier terminal. Perform STEP 2. See Fig 1 . Check resistance in both directions by reversing ohmmeter leads. Resistance should be more than 5 ohms in one direction and less than 5 ohms in the other direction. If resistance is not as specified, replace rectifier.
