Displaying BCM DTCs

Ensure has BCM entered feature customization mode. See ENTER FEATURE CUSTOMIZATION MODE  under PROGRAMMING. Verify BCM type which is currently installed on vehicle. See BCM TYPE VERIFICATION  . Cycle ignition switch from ACC position to LOCK position, then back to ACC position, within 1 second. BCM will enter on-board diagnostic mode. Fasten seat belt warning indicator will flash and chime ton will equal to BCM DTC stored. For example, if BCM DTC 1 is set, fasten seat belts indicator will flash once and/or chime tone will sound once. BCM DTCs will be identified from lowest DTC set to highest DTC set, pausing between each DTC, until all DTCs are read. See BCM DTC INDEX  table. Once all BCM DTCs are read, BCM will repeat stored BCM DTC sequence 3 times. If no BCM DTC are stored, BCM will not flash fasten seat belt warning indicator or sound chime.
