Locking Control Modes

  1. Turn Instrument Panel (I/P) dimmer switch off. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Remove BCM PRGRM (10-amp) fuse. Turn ignition switch to ACC position. BCM will sound chime a number of times equivalent to BCM type installed on vehicle (2, 3, or 4 chimes). After BCM type is identified, BCM enters into feature customization mode.
  2. To change locking control mode, press and release power door lock switch to UNLOCK position. BCM will sound chime a number of times equivalent to current locking control mode (1-4). See LOCKING CONTROL MODES  table. Press and release power door lock switch to UNLOCK position until desired locking control mode setting, go to next step. Chime indicator sequence will repeat after chime sounds for locking control mode 4.
  3. To exit and save current feature customization mode settings, turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Reinstall BCM PRGRM (10-amp) fuse. If unable to change locking control modes, go to AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKS INOPERATIVE in POWER DOOR LOCKS - MONTANA, SILHOUETTE & VENTURE article.
