Body Control Module Diagnostic System Check

  1. Perform on-board diagnostics. See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTICS  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If BCM enters on-board diagnostic mode, go to next step. If BCM on-board diagnostic mode can not be entered, see BODY CONTROL MODULE INOPERATIVE  under SYSTEM TESTS.
  2. Read on-board Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC). If any DTC exists, go to appropriate procedure for BCM DTC present. See BCM DTC INDEX  table under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If no BCM DTC is present, repair concern by symptoms present. See SYSTEM TESTS  .
