Test 3: Right Window Inoperative
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect right front window switch connector. Using a test light, backprobe between right front window switch connector terminals "D" (Tan wire) and "H" (Light Blue wire). See Figure. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Move left front window switch on master switch assembly to UP and DOWN positions. If test light illuminates in both positions, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate in both positions, go to step 3.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect right front window motor connector. Using a DVOM, check for open or short to ground in Brown wire and Dark Blue wire between right front window switch and right front window motor. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If an open or short to ground is found, go to step 5. If Brown wire and Dark Blue wire are okay, go to step 4.
- Using a test light, backprobe between master switch assembly connector terminals "B" (Light Blue wire) and "F" (Tan wire). Move left front window switch on master switch assembly to UP and DOWN positions. If test light illuminates in both positions, go to step 6. If test light does not illuminate in both positions, go to step 7.
- Connect right front window switch connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using a test light, backprobe between right front window switch connector terminals "A" (Dark Blue wire) and "E" (Brown wire). Move right front window switch to UP and DOWN positions. If test light illuminates in both positions, go to step 8. If test light does not illuminate in both positions, go to step 9.
- Repair open or short to ground in Brown wire or Dark Blue wire between right front window switch and right window motor. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair as necessary and go to step 10.
- Check for open in Light Blue wire between master switch assembly connector terminal "B" and right front window switch connector terminal "H". If Light Blue wire is okay, check for open in Tan wire between master switch assembly connector terminal "F" and right front window switch connector terminal "D". See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair as necessary and go to step 10.
- Replace master switch assembly. See WINDOW SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Go to step 10.
- Replace right front window motor. See WINDOW MOTOR under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Go to step 10.
- Replace right front window switch. See WINDOW SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Go to next step.
