Test 7: One Rear Quarter Window Inoperative

  1. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using a test light, backprobe between inoperative quarter window actuator connector terminals "A" (Black wire) and "B" (Brown wire). Press rear quarter window switch to OPEN and CLOSED positions. If test light illuminates in both positions, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate in both positions, go to step  3.
  2. Replace inoperative rear quarter window actuator. See REAR QUARTER WINDOW ACTUATOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Retest system.
  3. Using a test light connected to ground, backprobe rear quarter window actuator connector terminal "B" (Brown wire). Press rear quarter window switch to OPEN position. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step  5.
  4. Repair open in Black wire between splice S423 and inoperative rear quarter window actuator connector terminal "A". See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Retest system.
  5. Repair open in Brown wire between splice S427 and inoperative rear quarter window actuator connector terminal "B". See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Retest system.
