30-Minute Learn Procedure

  1. Turn ignition on. Attempt to start engine, then rotate key to on position. Monitor SECURITY indicator. After approximately 10 minutes, SECURITY indicator will turn off. Turn ignition off and wait 5 seconds.
  2. Repeat step  1 2 more times for a total of 3 cycles in 30 minutes. Vehicle is now ready to relearn password on the next ignition switch transition from off to crank.
  3. Start engine. Vehicle has now learned the password. Using scan tool, clear any DTCs. History DTCs will self clear after 100 ignition cycles.
