Test E: Lock-Out Function Inoperative
- If door systems diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If door systems diagnostic system check has not been performed, perform door systems diagnostic system check. See DOOR SYSTEMS DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
- Verify lock-out function is inoperative. If lock-function does not operate, go to next step. If lock-out function operates, check for an intermittent condition. See INTERMITTENTS in TROUBLE SHOOTING - NO CODES - CARS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
- Disconnect master power window switch 6-pin harness connector C2. Check for an open, short to ground or short to voltage in lock-out signal circuit (Dark Blue wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If problem does not exist, go to next step. If problem exists, repair as necessary and go to step 5 .
- Replace master power window switch. After repair, go to next step.
- Operate power window system to verify repair. If problem does not exist, system is okay. If problem still exists, go to step 2 .
