Circuit Description
Battery voltage is supplied to PCM for retention of certain long term memory data. DTCs and values for engine controls learned by PCM are kept in PCM memory with ignition on or off. DTC P1510 sets and PCM long term memory information is lost when memory power input circuit voltage is interrupted. DTC will set when no back-up power is supplied to PCM for 5 seconds after starting engine. When DTC sets, MIL will illuminate. PCM stores DTC P1510 as long as ignition is not turned off.
