STOPLAMP Switch: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Disconnect the stoplamp switch electrical connector. Press the brake pedal.
  2. Remove the locknut from the threaded portion (2) of the stoplamp switch (4). See Figure . Unscrew the stoplamp switch (4).
