Test G: Lock-Out Function Inoperative

NOTE: To identify harness connectors and terminals, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  1. Review description and operation of power window system, then go to next step. See DESCRIPTION & OPERATION  .
  2. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Check operation of lock-out function. If only lock-out function is inoperative, go to next step. If other power windows are inoperative, diagnose by symptom. See SYMPTOM INDEX  table.
  3. Inspect master power window switch harness connector for poor connections or intermittent condition. See appropriate BODY CONTROL MODULES article. If concern still exists, go to next step.
  4. Replace master power window switch. After repair, go to next step.
  5. Operate system to verify repair. If concern does not exist, system is okay. If concern still exists, go to step  3 .
