Water-in-Fuel Draining Procedure

  1. Remove the fuel tank filler cap.
  2. Install the scan tool. Turn ON the ignition.
  3. Open the air bleed valve on top of the fuel manager/filter to release any pressure in the fuel supply system.
  4. Tighten the air bleed valve securely by hand.
  5. Insert container under water bleed valve.
  6. Open the water bleed valve.
  7. Command the fuel lift pump ON briefly with the scan tool.
  8. Tighten water bleed valve.
  9. Install fuel tank filler cap.
  10. Start the engine. If the engine does not start, bleed the air from the fuel system. Refer to Fuel Filter Replacement .
