Installation Procedure

Install the remote control door lock receiver to the mounting bracket, if removed.
NOTE: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Install the door lock receiver (1) to the vehicle. Secure the receiver with the retaining nut.

Tighten

Tighten the remote control door lock receiver retaining nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
Connect the remote control door lock receiver electrical connector.
Install the left I/P outer air outlet (1) to the vehicle. Secure the outlet with the screw.

Install the left I/P outer air outlet duct (2) to the vehicle. Secure the outlet duct with the plastic retainer (1).

Reposition Junction Block #2 (1) back into position. Secure the junction block with the screw (2).

Install the I/P drivers knee bolster reinforcement. Refer to KNEE BOLSTER REPLACEMENT .
Connect the negative battery cable.
Reprogram the remote control door lock receiver. Refer to Transmitter Programming .
