Circuit Description

There should always be a steady Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) when ignition switch is in ON position and engine is not running. System voltage is applied to indicator bulb. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) will control the MIL and turn the MIL ON by providing a path to ground.
