Knock Sensor

A malfunction in Knock Sensor (KS) circuit can set DTC P0325. For test procedure with DTC set, see SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article. Use the following procedure to diagnose KS.

Locate KS on center of engine block, under intake manifold. KS has a Black connector. Using DVOM, select A/C and Hertz. Start engine. DVOM should indicate 12.5 Hz at 4000 RPM. If reading is not as specified, replace KS. If reading is as specified, see appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article.
