Rotor Test

  1. Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between slip rings. Perform STEP 1 in illustration. See Fig 1 . If resistance is more than 2.5-2.9 ohms, replace rotor.
  2. Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between rotor and slip rings. Perform STEP 2 in illustration. See Fig 1 . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace rotor.
