Remote Keyless Entry Transmitter

NOTE: All transmitters which are to be recognized by Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) must be programmed in a single programming sequence. If system is placed in program mode, all previously programmed transmitters will be erased upon receipt of programming signal from first transmitter. Up to 4 transmitters may be programmed.
  1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located below left side of instrument panel, near steering column. See Figure .
  2. Turn ignition switch to RUN position.
  3. Using scan tool, select REMOTE FUNCTION ACTUATION special function. Program transmitters in order to place RCDLR into program mode. Doors will lock and unlock to confirm program mode.
  4. NOTE: Scan tool must stay connected until all transmitters are programmed.
  5. Press and hold LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously on first transmitter. After a 15 second delay, doors will lock and unlock to confirm programming of transmitter.
  6. Repeat previous step to program up to 4 transmitters.
  7. Remove scan tool.
  8. Operate transmitter functions to verify system operation.
