Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Child Seat Tether Brackets

  1. Position the child seat tether brackets to the slot in the rear shelf.
  2. For Impala only, rotate the child seat tether brackets 90 degrees in order to install the child seat tether brackets into the slot.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the screws to the child seat tether brackets.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

  4. Install the rear shelf trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Window Shelf (Impala) or Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Window Shelf (Monte Carlo) in Interior Trim.
