Installation Procedure

IMPORTANT: Do not reuse the old mounting screws. Always install new mounting screws with the new EBCM.

    IMPORTANT: Do not use RTV or any other type of sealant on the EBCM gasket or mating surfaces.
  1. Install EBCM on to the BPMV.
  2. NOTE: Refer to COMPONENT FASTENER TIGHTENING NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the 4 new T-25 TORX® screws in the EBCM.

    Tighten:  Tighten the 4 T-25 TORX® screws to 5 N.m (39 lb in) in an X-pattern.

  5. Install the 2 electrical connectors on the side of the EBCM.

  7. Install the electrical connector on the back of the EBCM.
  8. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  9. Revise the tire calibration using the Scan Tool Tire Size Calibration function.
