Installation Procedure

  1. Install the negative battery cable to vehicle.
    2. NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the nut to retain the negative battery cable to the right side frame rail.

    Tighten:  Tighten nut to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  3. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure .
  4. Install the rear battery cover and nuts.

    Tighten:  Tighten nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  5. Lower the vehicle.
