Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the rear battery cover bolts and cover.
  3. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure .
  4. Remove the nut on right side frame rail retaining negative battery cable.
  5. Remove the negative battery cable from vehicle.
