Removal Procedure

NOTE: Use care when handling the coolant sensor. Damage to the coolant sensor will affect the operation of the fuel control system.
  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement in Interior Trim.
  3. Drain the coolant below the level of the ECT sensor. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System in Engine Cooling.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connector.

  5. Carefully remove the ECT sensor.
