Removal Procedure
- Remove the upper air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
in Engine Controls-2.2L (L61).

- Remove the clamp (5) and the power steering return hose (2) from the power steering pump (1).
- Raise the vehicle on a hoist. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.

- Remove the front exhaust pipe with the catalytic converter, automatic transmission only. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement (2.2L)
in Engine Exhaust.
- Remove the power steering return hose (2) from the vehicle.
