Removal Procedure

    Fig 1: Left Fuel Rail Cover

    CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the left fuel rail cover.
  3. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure .

  4. Clean any dirt from the fuel pulse dampener retaining ring.
  5. Remove the fuel pulse dampener retaining ring.
  6. Remove the fuel pulse dampener from the fuel rail.
