Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Identifying Outer Tie Rod And Dust Boot

  1. Install the dust boot.
  2. Install the tie rod end dust boot retaining clamp.
  3. Install the cylinder end dust boot retaining clamp with the J 26610  . See Special Tools .
  4. Install the outer tie rod. Refer to Rack and Pinion Outer Tie Rod End Replacement .
  5. Install the wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  6. Lower the vehicle.
