Installation Procedure

  1. Install the TP sensor to the throttle body assembly.
  2. Apply thread-locking compound GM P/N 12345493 (Canadian P/N 10953488) or equivalent to the TP sensor screws.
    3. Fig 1: Installig TP Sensor

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the 2 TP sensor screws.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  4. Connect the TP sensor electrical connector.
  5. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer toFuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement in Engine Mechanical-3.8L.
