Rear Object Sensor Replacement

Rear Object Sensor Replacement

Callout Component Name
Fastener Tightening Specifications:  Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications .
Preliminary Procedures: 
Remove rear fascia. Refer to Fascia, Bracket, Bar, Absorber Replacement - Rear Bumper .
IMPORTANT: Do not refinish previously painted sensors.
1 Sensor, Rear Object
Tip: 
  • Press tab to release sensor from retainer.
  • Disconnect electrical connector.
  • Paint the new rear object sensor. Refer to Basecoat/Clearcoat Paint Systems .
  • Check the paint thickness to ensure it does not exceed 6 mils using a paint thickness gage suitable for non-ferrous metals. Refer to Paint Gages .
